Then you will have to decide to either just wipe the qnap OS and re-use the Disc-on-module (DOM) basically an internal USB thumb drive or, which is the route I took, buy another blank DOM (they cost about $70) and just replace it keeping the old one just in case you ever want to go back to qnap os. My model does not come with one so I added a P400 GPU. It's pretty straight forward depending on the model you have but basically you do need a display output from the NAS.
